Veterans crowd Memorial Garden
for Remembrance Day service

About 200 people braved a potential downpour to attend the Remembrance Day
service at the Caloundra RSL Memorial Garden.Luckily the rain held off and the
service was run flawlessly by Sub Branch stalwarts led by President Heather Christie.
The address was by Group Captain David Mahoney (RAAF Reserve), who dwelt on the
tragic waste of life in World War I, partly due to incompetence at senior military levels.
Group Captain Mahoney also led the march to the service.
